Description:
Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether BCS is a colorless and flammable liquid with a moderate ether smell and low toxicity. It is soluble in water and alcohol, and has high dilution with petroleum hydrocarbons. It can be miscible with acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ethanol, n-heptane and water in any ratio.
Application;
1. Used as a solvent for paints and inks, as a raw material for metal cleaning agent components and dye dispersants

2. Mainly used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, synthetic resin, spray paint, quick-drying paint, varnish, enamel, grease and paint remover. It can also be used as fiber wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, resin plasticizer, organic synthesis intermediate. Reagent for determination of iron and molybdenum. Auxiliary solvent for improving emulsification and dissolving mineral oil in soap.

3. Used as a reagent and solvent for the determination of iron and molybdenum, and also used to separate calcium and strontium in nitrate

4. Used as an inactive diluent for adhesives, metal detergents, paint removers, fiber wetting agents, pesticide dispersants, drug extractants, resin plasticizers and organic synthesis intermediates. It is also used as a high boiling point solvent for paints, especially nitro spray paints, which can prevent fog and wrinkle, and improve the gloss and fluidity of the paint film.
